Welcome

Hello and thank you for visiting our website. We are delighted you have taken the time to visit and learn about our purpose and programs. Linger here and discover how dreams blossom to success.

The King Foundation for Social Justice, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization committed to the principle that every child deserves a fair chance to succeed.  Once given that fair chance, we believe all people have the ability to change their lives and overcome whatever obstacles have been placed in their way. Established in 1992 by a family in Louisville, Kentucky, the Foundation provides numerous educational, cultural and personal opportunities to children and young adults.

Although the Foundation is actively engaged in a wide spectrum of activities, our three major endeavors are Project Vision, the King Scholar Program and Quest Leadership. We do not intend to remove or resolve the obstacles life places before each of us. We intend to teach that success---no matter how one envisions it---requires one to accept personal responsibility and overcome her or his fear of failure. Our goal is to help young people help themselves by providing opportunities that permit them to excel by putting forth their best effort. The Foundation  provides private high school scholarships, mentoring, leadership training and college scholarships to deserving students who have demonstrated their commitment to succeed. Thus far the Foundation has served over 500 students. These students took the fair chance provided and succeeded.
